VOLUNTEERS SEE THE POWER OF THE
LORD IN THE PHILIPPINES
(OVER 21,000 FILIPINOS MAKE PROFESSIONS OF FAITH IN JESUS)

This was one of the most productive and exciting mission trips ever for any Cross Partners Ministry Team.  Volunteers conducted over 300 gospel Crusades in High Schools, Colleges, Prisons, Village centers, basketball courts and many other places.   The team served with over 100 Baptist Churches in 4 different Baptist Associations on Luzon Island in the northern part of the Republic of the Philippines.  The Philippines is made up of 7100 islands with a population of over 95 million people.   The nation has a very high rate of unemployment.   It relies upon peasant farmers and fishermen.

There were 21,286 professions of faith made in the all the crusades and church services.  This was the most that any CPM mission team has ever seen come to a saving faith in Jesus.  There has never been such an outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord in a 2 week period, as our team witnessed in the Philippines during their trip.  The Philippines may be the most open countries in the world to hearing and receiving the Gospel message.

We were so humbled by the PRESENCE and POWER of the Lord in the services.  The mission team had worked hard to get Prayer Partners on board to pray daily for the Spirit of the Lord to be upon each volunteer.   While there were hundreds of Prayer Partners in the U.S praying daily for the team, there may have been thousands in the churches of the Philippines praying as well for a great Harvest of Souls.  It became obvious to the team members that the Lord Jesus was answering those prayers of His people for the Harvest.

The team of volunteers were in awe of the Lord's work in their crusades and were overwhelmed by the results.  It was the work of the Lord much like what happened in the Book of Acts.   All Glory to God!!   A person could serve a lifetime and never experience what the Cross Partners Ministry team experienced in their 2 weeks of Crusades.  Members knew that it was not about the mission volunteers, but it was all about the Savior that they serve.
